Skin cleansing is one of the main care procedures for the face and body. It is no secret to anyone that you should wash your face twice a day – in the morning and in the evening, and in this article we will tell you how to do it correctly and which cleansing cosmetics should be chosen for each skin type.

The health and beauty of the skin depend on how carefully we care for it. Every day we use many creams and serums to improve the appearance and to heal the skin. However, sometimes we forget about something very important – that all cosmetics should be applied only to cleansed facial skin.

Some people neglect this stage of care; as a result, at the very least, they gain no benefit from using a cream or serum, and at worst they clog the pores even more, which can lead to the appearance of acne, and it becomes difficult for the skin to breathe and function normally.

Skin cleansing should begin with washing using a special product – a milk, gel or foam. The product should be applied to the face with smooth massaging movements, without injuring or stretching the skin. The temperature of the water should not be too hot or icy; it is best if it is at room temperature. Then you should gently rinse the product off the skin and dry it with a soft towel. Whenever possible, filtered water should be used for washing, as it does not dry out or irritate the skin.

After using a cleansing milk or gel, you should refresh the skin with an alcohol-free toner. The toner will remove the residues of the cleansing product, restore the natural pH and the hydrolipid balance of the skin, and eliminate oily shine.

And finally, after the toner you can confidently apply a cream, fluid or serum, which will perfectly penetrate the skin, moisturising and nourishing it.
The most common mistakes we make when cleansing the skin:
    1) Using a cleansing product that does not match the skin type. For dry and dehydrated skin, a gentle milk is suitable for cleansing; for oily or combination skin – a face wash gel.
    2) Water that is too hot or icy. Sudden changes in temperature can lead to disruptions in the functioning of the blood vessels and to couperose (broken capillaries).
    3) Being too rough with the skin. If you rub your face too hard, you can damage the epidermis.
    4) It is not worth washing the skin more often than twice a day. Washing too frequently leads to the disruption of its hydrolipid balance.

Follow all the recommendations, and your skin will look fresh, will be firm and moisturised.
